I am delighted to welcome you
to Bow School of Maths and Computing

Bow is an 11 – 16 5-form entry school for Boys in Tower Hamlets

We are a multi-cultural community that reflects our local area and has an “ethos that is one of respect for all” (Ofsted 2011).  Our students bring with them a wide range of languages, cultures, religions and backgrounds ensuring that each student is treated with dignity and respect.

Our students make excellent progress due to our highly qualified staff that are committed to excellence in all areas of school life.  Additionally, students are given exciting opportunities, both in school and the wider community.  Challenging lessons are taught across all subjects and there are strong support systems in place which help the students make the most of their abilities and manage positive relationships.  Our status as a School of Maths and Computing helps us to develop and enrich our curriculum as well as strengthen our links with local schools and the local community.

Bow School is on an exciting journey of change and development.  We are currently working on plans for a completely new building that should be ready for us to move in to in September 2014. Moreover, we will be welcoming our first cohort of sixth form students and expanding our roll to include a total of 240 Year 7 students, boys and girls.  More details about our new build can be found on this website.

This website is a celebration of the wide range of achievements of our young people and will give you an indication of the many opportunities open to all Bow School students. Visitors are always welcome to make an appointment for a visit to the school, where conversations with staff and students will provide further information about the school.
