Always Club
The 'Always Club' is designed to reward the best 20 students in Year 8 for their consistent excellence in regard to attendance, punctuality, uniform, equipment and behaviour. As part of the 'Always Club'' each member will be offered the opportunity to regularly take part in out of hours enrichment activities, including workshops and visits, both on and off the school site. This club requires a minimum of perfection to enter it and this is why the rewards are so good.
The first of these was a trip to the Leyton Leisure Lagoon, where the boys were offered the opportunity to enjoy the aquatic delights of the facility.
Following the success of the Leyton Leisure trip the next destination for the ‘Always Club’ was to the home of football, Wembley, to see the England Under-21 team play Portugal in the U21 European Cup Qualifying Round. We set off from Bow on a very cold, rainy and windy Saturday morning but in high spirits. The group were escorted by Miss. Kelly, Miss. Bartlett, Miss. Esber, Mrs. Hyde and Mr. Jones, and every boy was, of course, fantastically well behaved. The whole day went down as a fantastic experience and a reward for the boy’s hard work over the last couple of weeks. Who knows where we’ll be heading next?! I’m looking forward to finding out!
Well done boys!
