A commitment to excellence.

In September 2008, Bow School achieved specialist status in Maths and Computing. We are very proud of this achievement, especially as these are such important subjects, and are integral to the government's plans to raise standards in secondary education.

Since gaining the specialist status, we have placed emphasis on all subjects relating to Maths and Computing, in addition to our broad and balanced curriculum. Working in partnership with local schools means that the benefits of our new status are shared with the wider community.

The Maths and Computing specialist status will continue to    raise standards of achievement at Bow School and will aid the development of innovative approaches to the teaching and learning of all subjects as well as those of the specialism - leading to whole school improvement.

We now lead in sharing resources and actively engaging with business and industry to promote the use of Maths and Computing outside of school.
