Strengthening Families Programme

The strengthening families, strengthening communities programme is a course that helps parents and carers develop new skills to assist them in bringing up their children in a way that fits in with their values and beliefs.

The course provides parents with an opportunity to:

  • Meet and share experiences with other parents.
  • Learn new ways to build relationships and communicate with their children.
  • Learn positive discipline techniques and build confidence in managing challenging behaviour.
  • Learn how to access various community resources.

The programme consists of thirteen, three hour sessions which take place on Tuesday mornings in the Learning Support Unit at Bow School.  Lunch is provided.

Any parent interested in joining future courses or finding out more information about the work of the Parental Engagement Team should contact Mary Trapp on usual school number (020 8980 0118) or email us at: bs@bow-school.org.uk.
