Welcome from the Headteacher

I am delighted to welcome you to the Bow School website. Our school is a vibrant, innovative and enterprising multi-cultural school in Tower Hamlets. It has a roll of 600 students, and is growing from strength to strength, experiencing success across a whole range of achievements.

We are committed to raising the attainment and aspiration of all our students. Bow School students have gone on to success in many areas of life, with increasing numbers going on to higher education and many achieving success in business, politics and international sport. We hold high expectations for learning and behaviour and are committed to providing a stimulating, rewarding and secure environment. We have excellent staff who are highly supportive, enabling every boy to achieve his full potential.

I firmly believe that we can continue to raise the achievements and aspirations of all of our students. In our recent Ofsted report, Bow School was described as “an improving school, which is gaining in popularity with parents and students.”

We focus on the pursuit of excellence, not only in the classroom, but also encourage students to widen their participation in out of school activities, and this has contributed greatly to our growing reputation in the community. Feeling part of the whole school community is central to our very strong ethos, and boys are encouraged to develop a sense of responsibility and participate fully in the activities we offer.

We have tried in our website to capture the spirit of the school, the values it promotes, and its approach to achieving high levels of attainment. We are keen to work with all parents and carers, current and future, to provide the best education for the boys.
