Art
The Art Department at Bow School aims to introduce the students to the principles involved in the visual arts and their effect on both us, and our environment. The students are encouraged to experience a variety of techniques and uses of different media to develop a visual language.
The courses offered have in common the sequential development of ideas and techniques and will be enlivened by visits to museums, galleries and local areas of interest. Students will be given the opportunity to work with artists in residence and participate in cross-curricular arts projects whenever possible.
It is our aim to ensure that students are learning and gaining confidence through direct observation by exploring and developing a theme. We provide a wide range of first hand experiences both inside and outside classrooms so that the art lessons can be a creative, learning and enjoyable experience.
