How do you feel about being chosen as artist of the month?
I do not know anyone, who has been artist of the month before and when my teacher told me I was artist of the month I was excited and it made me feel proud.
Why do you enjoy the subject so much?
I enjoy art because you get to create and experiment with things and I also like to draw. Art is so much fun and you feel proud when you have finished your work.
What materials do you enjoy working with and why?
I enjoy working with watercolour because paintings look more realistic when you use them. I also like clay because it’s fun to work with. I really enjoy working with pencil because it’s great to draw and shade with and you can rub your mistakes away.
Which artists have inspired your work?
I really like Pablo Picasso because he imagines the pictures in his head and brings them to life.
What advice would you give to any other student interested in art?
I would tell them to keep working and not to give up. I get upset sometimes when I look a drawing I am working on and think what is it I’m trying to do but I carry on and in the end it turns out ok.
