How do you feel about being chosen as artist of the month?
I feel happy about being chosen as artist of the month, I didn’t expect to be chosen.
Why do you enjoy the subject so much?
I feel confident about my drawing ability and I think I’m creative.
What materials do you enjoy working with and why?
I like using oil pastels because of vibrant colours that you can get with them. I also enjoy painting and I like shading with 4B pencils.
Which artists have inspired your work?
So far on my GCSE course MC Escher has inspired my work because he enlarges his work to show the details of the picture.
What advice would you give to any other student interested in art?
Try your best and if you mess up don’t worry about it, keep going because later on you could make it a part of the drawing.
Do you have any future plans to study art after your GCSEs?
Yes, I would like to be a car designer so I will need to study art in college to get my qualifications.
