December Calais Trip

On Friday 11th December, 42 students from Years 7-9 and 5 members of staff spent a very enjoyable day in Calais, France. We travelled by coach and ferry and spent a couple of hours looking around the historic town and then visited a Hypermarket in Coquelles where the boys shopped till they dropped!
The purpose of the trip was to help students to understand that French really is a language rather than just a school ‘subject’. The trip was an excellent opportunity to gain confidence with their spoken French and also to see understand more about France as a country.
