DAN FREEDMAN RETURNS TO BOW!

Author and football journalist DAN FREEDMAN made his second appearance at Bow School delighting Year 7 by talking about all the football stars he has interviewed and how he came to write stories about a young footballer Jamie Johnson.
Dan showed us some of his interviews and related some of the funnier and most memorable moments from his career as a journalist.
He told us that he decided to write the Jamie Johnson stories after he failed to find suitable books to buy as a gift for a young boy he knew.
Dan also emphasised how important it was to keep trying to achieve your goals, in life, as much as on the football field!
At the end of his visit Dan answered questions from Year 7 and then gave out prizes of books to 15 lucky students who had all produced excellent work in preparation for the visit. These students then had a chance to get their books signed and have their photo taken with Dan.
Although Dan has left the game is not quite over as Year 7 Reading Champions still have the chance to win a football, signed by Dan, by producing the best post match report and display for their form room!
