East London Emerging Schools Rugby Cup

As part of PE’s commitment to offering as many different extra-curricular activities as possible, Bow Boys took part in the first ever Emerging Schools Rugby Cup against Bishop Challoner. The match was played at Milwall Rugby Club and was supported by Matt Shurrock and others form the club. The event was a mix of Year 7 & 8 students, many of whom were playing competitive rugby for the very first time. The match was played in a fantastic spirit (as shown in this picture) and although the boys lost (40-30) I feel they gained a lot from the experience. Matches and training will now take place on a Tuesday night with Mr. Jones, I hope to see the numbers start to swell. Well done boys!
