Arsenal Double Club Trip
On Monday 14th May both years 7 and 8 double club classes were involved in an educational stadium trip to the Valley. They were able to learn about key information for their stadium project, whilst learning good presentational skills and being involved with purposeful talk. The day involved pupils having a tour with Charlton Athletic’s chief community executive and they were able to experience what it would be like being a bored member, a football player, a journalist and a coach. Some of the boys favourite aspects of the trip involved learning about tactics used within the changing rooms, visiting the trophy room and being able to use the electronic scoreboard. Each boy was able to communicate effectively within discussions and was able to present good knowledge of football. At the end of the tour they were all given a CAFC program to take away and take key information needed for their upcoming project. They were a credit to the school and we look forward to observing their presentations back to the class within the up coming weeks.
