Bank of America Merrill Lynch Financial Centre Presentation Skills Final
Out of 44 students from Bow School of Maths and Computing who initially entered the competition three students, Rubayed Ahmed, Azim Khan and Deepiya Rimal went through to the grand final of the presentation skills competition. This prestigious final was held in King Edward Hall in the headquarters of Bank of America Merrill Lynch Financial Centre on Tuesday 14th June. The competition was hosted by Jonathan Moulds, president of Europe, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, who was also the chair of the judges. The Bow students spoke on complex subjects such as the impact of current government policy on the young and whether taxation was fair. Azim started the competition and deserves tremendous prasise for setting such a high standard. He set the scene for what followed. The flair and passion shown by both Azim and Rubayed was amazing and commended. Deepiya’s command of the stage was noted for being a very special talent. Spectators noted that the boys showed great promise for the future. The over-all standard of the presentations was the highest it has ever been and the judges commented on how difficult the task had been to choose the winner. The ultimate prize went to a student from Mulberry School for girls. All the students in the final received a medal, a certificate and £200 of vouchers.
