Bow School

Beyond the Classroom

Beyond the Classroom

SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE

A broad and enviable enrichment programme complements the quality and strength of our academic offer, equipping every student with the skills, qualities, and attributes necessary for them to flourish in their professional and personal lives. Our enrichment programme features both a wealth of experiences beyond the classroom and prospects woven into the curriculum, to inspire every student to broaden their horizons and is further complemented by a rich programme of extra-curricular activities.

We believe that an active and empowered student body is central to the success of the school. Students are encouraged to take on positions of responsibility across our school, in Council, Prefect and Headship roles, alongside the opportunity for paid employment in the Bow Sixth Form.

The Bow School Student Experience

Trips and Experiences

Woven into the curriculum to complement academic studies and offer real-life learning experiences, our menu of trips are highly rewarding and introduce students to new things they may not have had the opportunity to experience before.

Visits to universities, work experience and work-related learning, to open students’ eyes to what is possible and allow them to realise their ambitions are within grasp.

BowExtra!

BowExtra! refers to our programme of out of hours learning, interventions and clubs. It supports the raising of achievement by motivating students to become more effective learners through activities that enrich, enable and extend the curriculum.

Leadership

Our students are able to flourish as leaders through a wide range of leadership opportunities inside and outside of school that spark passion, interest and a thirst for life and learning. All opportunities available Year 7 – 13, along with responsibilities and application process can be found here

Partnerships

Our network of partnerships aims to extend learning beyond the classroom, offering students real-life work experience and scenarios, exposing them to the global working world and preparing them for life after school.
