Borough Debating Competition

Azim Khan, Rubayed Ahmed and Nahim Ahad on Tuesday 21^st June successfully won the Borough Debating Competition. This means for the third year running that Bow School of Maths and Computing will successfully represent Tower Hamlets in the English Speaking Union London Debating Competition. They beat a strong team from Stepney Green in the final, debating the motion: “This house would introduce an ‘opt out’ system of organ donation”. The Bow boys were noted for speaking with passion and for the strength of their arguments. Azim Khan won the award for best speaker of the competition.
