Computing
Computing at Bow gives students an understanding of the fundamental principles and concepts of computer hardware , software and programming.
WHAT ARE THE BIG IDEAS IN computing?
|
Computational Thinking |
Data Representation |
Programming |
Hardware & software |
|
Learning to think like a computer supports students in developing structured solutions to a range of different problem that they will come across. |
Learning and applying binary to represent numbers, text, sounds and pictures allows students to understand how computers process binary to a range of different media. |
Allows students to put computational thinking into practice, by writing code that creates working programs that solve everyday tasks |
Students will gain insight into how computer systems (hardware & software) and networks operate, and will analyse the effects of computer systems and networks on people and society.
