Latest on Create Club
‘Create Club’ is an after school club that combines both DT and Art skills, it is held in H4 on Wednesday’s after school. The latest project is ‘design and print your own T-Shirt’ using screen printing techniques. The project has been incredibly popular and has had between 15-20 students back each week.
Create Club encourages vertical learning and this project has included students from every year group. Some of the processes are quite tricky and it has been great to see the Year 10 and 11’s helping the younger students.
The next project is ‘Carboard Creations’ starting on the 7th March. Students will learn about prop making and environmentally friendly design, they will have the opportunity to make their own supersized prop of their choice. This project is open to all KS3. It will also run parallel with the yr 8 ‘Day Of The Dead’ Art project, the students will have the opportunity to create a prop to go with their mask for their showcase in the summer term.
