A school for the future
We are delighted to announce that construction work for our new school site in Bow Lock has officially commenced. Construction Company, Bouygues UK is the force behind the exciting Building Schools for the Future project, which will see our school expand and relocate over the next two years. From 2014 we will have a world-class learning environment allowing students to excel, develop and achieve and ensuring their future success.
On completion of the project Bow School will introduce a number of exciting changes, including the provision of girls, a Sixth Form as part of the Sixth Form East collaboration, and an increase in the number of students we take on, catering for 270 in each year group.
Amongst the many unique features, the new site will boast roof top games pitches, drama and dance studios, 12 science laboratories, a recording studio, a 350 seat theatre, photography rooms and vegetable gardens. To complement all of this, our facilities will overlook the River Lea and have great views of the Olympic Park and Canary Wharf, reinforcing our prime location in the City of London.
We are confident that our inspiring new facilities will provide excellent provision in all subject areas and enable us to expand the range of curriculum opportunities for our students, supporting our relentless commitment to high standards.
