Art Trip To Whitechapel Gallery
This spring our Y10 GCSE Art students were taken to visit The Eduardo Paolozzi exhibition at The Whitechapel Gallery. The exhibition showcased Paolozzi’s ventures into many different mediums spreading across a range of artistic movements from Surrealism to Pop Art. Judging by the quantity of exciting works on display the show will surely provide a wonderful starting point for Y11 coursework.
In addition to the exhibition, students had the opportunity to work in groups photographing and documenting some of the iconic street art found along Brick Lane.
The trip was a huge success and the icing on the cake was the addition of some highly talented Y9 students that have opted for an early GCSE in Art. They will, therefore, join our Y11s in completing a coursework assignment and exam over the next 12 months.
