Bow School ELAM Collaborations
Bow Music Department are very, very proud to be collaborating with ELAM just over the road. ELAM is a state of the Art Music college where pupils can take BTEC’s in Music and Games Design.
We have been collaborating with them since they opened earlier this year.
On the 17th and 18th July music classes from Year 8 and Year 9 visited the college and were taught by ELAM Year 12 students. They were treated to a Samba workshop, an ICT lesson using the latest music software and a Performance Skills workshop where the song they have been learning in lessons was performed in front of them by a professional student band.
All the pupils were really motivated by the experience, staggered by the high quality of the resources and inspired to go to college and maybe even do music.
We look forward to many years of fruitful collaboration between the two schools and will certainly be building towards a large scale concert sometime next year in the amazing ELAM Theatre.
