Behind the Camera

Year 10 students had an exciting opportunity to explore the world of filmmaking at Hekspace Studios. The workshop covered different roles in filmmaking, from familiar ones such as camera operators to quirky titles like "gaffers" and "swingers”, and how they work together to bring ideas to life on our screens.

The highlight of the day was a hands-on workshop where students experienced the various aspects of filmmaking, such as camera work and lighting. They even had the chance to film a mock news event against a green screen backdrop, which showcased their creativity and teamwork. A big thank you to Sonya from DWP and Hekspace Studios for organising this memorable experience.
