Dancing through the decades!
Bow School have joined forces with Old Palace Primary school to create and perform a dance project which will be show cased to staff, parents and the local community in June 2014.
To make the performance energetic, fun and relevant to their age groups students from Old Palace and Bow decided to create a ‘Dance through the decades’ theme.
1950’s Hand Jive- Social dance
1960’s Wipe Out- Bohemian style
1970’s Saturday Night Fever- Disco
1980’s Michael Jackson “Leave me alone!”
1990’s Rhythm is a Dancer- Jazz/ Contemporary dance
2000’s Wiley “Can you hear me?”- Hip Hop
The aim of the overall project is to establish links with primary schools in the local area as well as to develop skills such as teamwork, self-esteem, performance skills and creativity.
