Exploring the World through Poetry

This year, National Poetry Week took inspiration from Black History Month and recent global events. Students were challenged to craft a poem either celebrating an inspiring individual who has made a positive impact on the world, or the theme of freedom, justice and oppression. Congratulations are in order to Emma in 7P1 for her first-place poem, based on Catherine Johnson. Her poem was an awe-inspiring metaphor, which effectible captured the passion of her chosen individual. We would also like to congratulate Naira in 11P1, Maksudal in 7B2 and, Elisa in 7M2 for placing second and joint third.
