Fashion & Textiles Club – Trip to Victoria & Albert Museum

Fashion & Textiles Club -Trip to Victoria & Albert Museum

Ms Johnson and Ms Rawles had a wonderful time with students from the Design Technology Department’s Fashion & Textiles Club on their recent trip to the Victoria & Albert Museum in South Kensington.

They went to see the Fashion from Nature Exhibition and also many of the permanent exhibits.

The highlight of the day was seeing a dress that’s fabric had been made by recycling plastic bottles that was worn by Emma Watson and The Ardabil Islamic Carpet. The carpet is the world’s oldest dated carpet and one of the largest, most beautiful and historically important.

We hope to see many more students on our next trip and at our Fashion & Textiles Club soon. The Club takes place on Thursdays after school and is run by Ms Johnson.

We hope to run another trip this half term.
