Formula 1!

Collaboration across the Arts, Maths and DT Departments and F1 in Schools introduced a STEM project for KS4 students this term. The objective? Transform the perceptions of science, technology, engineering and maths by creating an informative yet exciting learning environment for students to gain insights about careers in the sectors. Many students started the project with enthusiasm, although we can’t we are surprised by the magnetic appeal of a career with Formula 1!

Success, joy and accomplishment are the main features of this project which aids our students to promote and strengthen the positive school culture. Bow students are given best possible chance of growing through the ranks to become one of the UK’s top teams and ultimately fighting for a chance to reach world finals, which is contested by over 40 countries. Our students have started producing their portfolios, continued designing their logos and car models. They are enjoying their work to strengthen their learning in Arts and DT by the use of an F1 in Schools template to sketch an F1-style car using IsoSketch.
