Guardian Coding Workshop
On Monday 14 May, a group of KS3 students visited the Guardian’s Head Office in Kings Cross, where they took part in a Coding Workshop, working in pairs in order to create a topical news quiz using Guardian news stories and coding programmes. This gave them an insight into careers in journalism and ICT, and an opportunity to work on their communication and teamwork skills.
The organisers were really impressed with all of the students who took part in the workshop and said that they were working at an advanced level, successfully debugging the code and coming up with some excellent multiple choice answers for their questions.
