Houses Of Parliament Construction Trip

Year 9 students were invited to attend the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) Construction Insight Day. The CIOB is the world's largest and most influential professional body for construction management and leadership.

The day started off with a tour of the Houses of Parliament followed by an insight into careers and the opportunities within the construction industry. Students attended an  up-skilling session on key employability skills – learning how to showcase them.

After a delightful celebratory lunch students took part in a Q & A session whereby students had the opportunity to ask current senior leaders any questions they had about a career in the construction industry, plus any other questions regarding employability.
