Industrial Cadets

In early January, our Industrial Cadets visited Canterbury Christ Church University, for a two-day workshop. The workshop was led by The Engineering Development Trust (EDT), an independent registered charity whose mission is to encourage young people to fulfil their potential in STEM led careers and aimed for students to work on their Gold Project.

Students were tasked to design an innovative smart recycling bin, showing an understanding of viability, application and scalability, reducing the amount of waste in oceans and landfills. Students worked hard and thought innovatively, and enjoyed presentations delivered by Senior Lecturers and Engineering students.
