The Jack Petchey Foundation was set up to inspire and motivate young people and recognise them for their achievements. Last term, our winners were awarded for displaying our school values in practice.
Hans Zhou, 7M1: Respect
Hans has made an incredible start since joining our school this summer from China. He has shown kindness, respect, and a willingness to help others in everything he does. Hans is always smiling and saying hello, making everyone feel welcome. He has actively participated in clubs, offering to help with equipment and fully engaging in lessons. Last half term, he showed amazing bravery and leadership by presenting confidently at the Year 6 Open Evening. Hans is a fantastic role model who truly demonstrates our school values every day.
Izyan Malleck-Amode, 8B1: Curiosity
I’m thrilled to nominate Izyan Malleck-Amode for the Jack Petchey Achievement Award for his outstanding dedication to learning and personal growth. His curiosity, hard work, and determination consistently push him beyond expectations, inspiring those around him. Izyan’ s kindness and respect for both peers and teachers create a positive, supportive environment, making him a role model in our school. His resilience, maturity, and genuine love of learning make him a joy to teach and a truly deserving candidate for this award.
Rimas Afifi, 10M1: Adaptability
Rimas has shown remarkable growth throughout Year 10, with her resilience strengthening every day. She consistently embodies our school values of respect, adaptability, and determination, approaching every challenge with a smile. Her dedication to learning and personal development is evident in her consistent achievement points. We are incredibly proud of her transformation and the impressive progress she has made this year.
Harry Watson, 13T1: Determination
Harry is a truly deserving recipient of the Jack Petchey Award due to his exemplary attitude and dedication to his work. A determined and focused young man, Harry consistently demonstrates a clear commitment to achieving his ambitious goals, evidenced by securing an interview with Cambridge University to study medicine. Beyond his academic achievements, Harry is a pleasure to work with and an asset to his peers, always ready to lend a hand with revision or exam preparation. His supportive nature makes him not only a standout student but also a great friend. As a student ambassador, Harry embodies the school’s ethos through his leadership and willingness to represent the institution with pride. His remarkable character and drive make him a worthy winner of this prestigious award.
