Jack Petchey Achievement Award March

Tanvir Abdul (10W) & Salih Ibn Abdurrahman (10S)

Congratulations to this month’s Jack Petchey Award winners; Tanvir Abdul & Salih Ibn Abdurrahman. Each received a framed certificate, a Young Achiever pin badge and £250 to be spent on a school or community project of their choice.

Nomination Statements:

“Tanvir is extremely motivated. From someone who spoke very little English when he first arrived in this country not so long ago he has now improved his English speaking skills on a daily basis. He is always willing and enthusiastic to be involved. Whether it is to be part of the Student Council Team to ensuring he volunteers in any opportunities that come his way” – Ms Begum (10W Form Tutor)

“Salih joined Bow School in May 2016 as a quiet and reserved member of the class. Since then, Salih has grown in confidence, demonstrating to his peers and teachers his hardworking and helpful attitude. He works tremendously hard in all his lessons and is making good progress due to his conscientious attitude towards his learning.  Salih is a fantastic role model who always rises to the challenge. He recently became Besant's representative on the House Committee which reiterates his determination to go above and beyond the Bow way! Every child in Bow School should aspire to be like Salih!” – Ms Khatun (10S Form Tutor)

Stay tuned to find out how both students will spend their £250 reward!
