Jack Petchey Achievement Award - May
Congratulations to this month’s Jack Petchey Award winners: Ishmam Ahmed (9W) & Fokhruzzaman Wildman (9L). Each winner received a framed certificate, a Young Achiever pin badge and £250 to be spent on a school or community project of their choice.
“Ishmam is respectful at all times and always follows instructions very well. He is helpful to other members of the class. He is also an extremely hard working pupil who completes all work given as well as the extension work.”

“Fokhruzzaman has been completing his Duke of Edinburgh award since the Autumn Term and is always enthusiastic, committed and punctual. Furthermore he recently completed a volunteer placement at the Saturday SHINE School and received the following glowing report: "He has been remarkable in his energy, enthusiasm and approach to his role. He is always on time and hasn't missed a session. As soon as he arrives each week he is keen to start and will ask what needs to be done or will begin a task which he knows needs to be done. He always uses his initiative. When working with the children ages 7-11 he is always supportive, firm and fair. He can see when a child or adult needs support and will be there to do just that. He has always gone above and beyond in his role and we will miss his volunteering skills from supporting the children academically, creatively and through sports to making lunches and clearing up. He is an excellent team player and will do whatever is asked of him. All that is left to say is thank you and well done. He has really used his time as a volunteer to learn himself and has been a pleasure to have around as part of our team. He is a wonderful student and absolutely deserves to be nominated for Jack Petchey”
