Congratulations to this month’s Jack Petchey Award winners: Younes Aberkane & Nazim Rahman. Each winner received a framed certificate, a Young Achiever pin badge and £250 to be spent on a school or community project of their choice.

“Younes has been in the gym at every opportunity this year: mornings, lunch and after school. Not only is he showing a fantastic work ethic and attitude to improve his own fitness but he is also helping others in the gym, especially the new Year 7s. “Nazim is an enthusiastic learner who exhibits a positive outlook and attitude in the classroom. He sets an example of excellence in behaviour and cooperation. He tackles classroom assignments, tasks and group work in an organised manner. He always puts forth his best effort into homework assignments and showed it in completing the summer homework booklet” (Ms Manda – Teacher of Science)
