Kick Out Racism Workshop

Kick Out Racism Workshop

Students from the Talented P.E register participated in a ‘Kick Out Racism’ workshop on Wednesday 3rd October.

The session involved screening the documentary created by young people from Limehouse Boxing Academy. This film highlighted the issue of racism in the sport and underlined the dangers and consequences of using social media inappropriately. The workshop also identified the best ways to identify and safeguard young people from extreme content online.

Students also got involved in boxing taster activities, including pad work.

Shah Rahman and Mark Collings (top-tier England Boxing Coach) both founded and run the Limehouse Boxing Academy. The project was brought about in conjunction with Limehouse Boxing Academy, funded by Google and supported by Poplar HARCA/Spotlight.
