London Athletics Championships

It is pleasing to say that we currently teach the London U14 High Jump Champion, Anwar (10B)!! Considering that we do not even teach High Jump here at Bow, he did a great job reaching a massive 1.63m.
Congratulations to all of the students who gave up their weekend to take part.
On Tuesday 12th June the juniors took part in the same competition at Mile End Stadium competing against students from other London boroughs. All of them gave great performances and were a credit to the school.
Arayo came 6th overall in the Javelin getting a personal best of 23.93m. He also got through his 200m heat and came 6th in the final.
All of our sprinters were picked on the day to take part in the relay teams and worked really well with students from other schools across Tower Hamlets. Some were even selected to represent Tower Hamlets in the London Youth Games in July!
