On Tuesday 7th March a group of KS3 students attended the Tower Hamlets Indoor Athletics Competition at the Lee Valley Athletics Centre.

Girls from Year 7 and 9 came 3rd out of 11 schools in their individual competitions.

A special mention must go to Alika Brown, who came second in the High Jump having never done it before. Grace Collins-Edwards also came second in her 800m race.

The superstar of the day, though, has to be Nia Buckley for coming first in her 800m race, sprinting the whole way to make sure she didn’t get second place for the third year running. Nia also came first in a very tense and exciting High Jump Competition - holding onto her title of Champion for another year.

We finished off a great day by being lucky enough to get a photo with Team GB Sprinter CJ Ujah!
