March 8th 2016 - Drop Day 4

March 8th 2016 - Drop Day 4

On 8th March the students and staff at Bow School took part in their fourth Drop Day of the academic year. Each year group had a bespoke carousel of activities specifically designed to allow the students to learn from every situation, with a link to International Women's Day. Year 7 worked with Barclays Lifeskills and took part in PE activities designed and led by Y11. The girls in Year 7 and 8 attended a Careers Fair, with three incredibly inspirational female speakers. Year 9 and 10 worked together on a range of activities, such as a CSI project with English and Science. They too had a series of workshops around International Women's Day, with a leading female entrepreneur joining them to share her experiences. Year 11 took part in a carousel of PSHE activities which focused on Positive Choices and Positive Thinking. We welcomed a presenter from LBTH who led a workshop about the risks of Digital Media, and the students also explored the risks of Legal Highs.

A great day was had by all.
