NYO – Play The School

On 30th April 2019 the National Youth Orchestra (NYO) of Great Britain again visited us for a day of intense music making. There were Workshops all day in the Canteen, Dance Studio, Drama Studio and Waterside Theatre for all our 200+ instrumental students. Then, in the afternoon, we were treated to a live performance in our LRC featuring exciting music with an American/ Mexican flavour.

It was quite a staggering experience to hear an orchestra of this size and quality in our own school and I hope the pupils had an experience which will stay with them forever.

My thanks to all staff and students who supported to make the day such a success.
