NYO ‘Voice of Americas’ Concert

NYO ‘Voice of Americas’ Concert

On Friday 12th April, our team of National Young Promoters joined the National Youth Orchestra to celebrate the power of music - building bridges with fiercely passionate American and Mexican genres. The day started with young promoters meeting with their counterparts from Skinners Academy and St Gabriel’s College.

Bow students led the ice-breaking sessions and supported with catering the teen hangout event.

BBC Radio 3 Presenter, Tom Redman, coached the young promoters on their presentation and interview techniques.

At 6.15 p.m. our Young Promoters opened the doors for their NYO Teen Hangout event where they assembled with members of the orchestra and the public. This free pre-concert event for teenagers showcased the stories behind the music.

The night ended with Mexican conductor, Carlos Miguel Prieto, leading the NYO on a journey showcasing music’s power to heal divisions in society.

We are proud of our Young Promoters for their commitment and enthusiasm.
