Personal Development Day!
Thursday, 30th January marked the second personal development day of the year-a key event in our school calendar, offering students a dynamic mix of enrichment, cultural exploration, and persona[ growth opportunities.
Expertly orchestrated by Ms. Moyes, with the invaluable support of staff across the school, the day left students returning from their activities inspired, energized, and brimming with new experiences (though some were understandably a little exhausted too!).
This time, students had the chance to dive into thrilling watersports at Shadwell Basin and Lea Valley, explore London's iconic landmarks including Tower Bridge, the Tower of London, and Westminster Abbey and take part in Jack Petchey workshops designed to boost confidence and public speaking skills.
Our Year 9s sampled taster lessons for their upcoming GCSE options and received some important careers advice, while Y11 attended a performance of An Inspector Calls, followed by some practice for their upcoming Science and English exams. Meanwhile, students from other year groups wandered through the stunning Kew Gardens, or engaged in interfaith experiences with visits to Bow Church and Regent's Park Mosque.
The day was a fantastic opportunity for students to step beyond the classroom, broaden their horizons, and develop valuable life skiHs in exciting and meaningful ways.
