Power of Young Voices
Today saw the final session in our Young Voices Project. Now, the students will work on turning their writing to powerful speeches to present (hopefully) to a formal audience.
The students have worked hard despite this being the end of a tiring term. We am immensely proud of them and I hope to repeat this next year.
We were lucky to have Athian Akec work with our KS3 children as a resident author. His sessions were inspiring and gave many of the children great ideas for their chosen topics. We have speeches on poverty, immigration, mental health, social housing and a very interesting perspective on ‘local jobs for local people’!
Well done to the students who represented our school so well!
