Public Speaking Competition
Two of our Year 10 students recently took part in the Tower Hamlets Public Speaking competition Facilitated by Lloyds of London.
Following a public speaking workshop at Bow School, Nooruz Zaman and Adel Hussain were selected to represent Bow School at the Semi-finals held at Beazley group in the City of London. Adel’s speech focused on the potential benefits and risks of autonomous vehicles and Nooruz spoke on the ‘Internet of Things’ and how it continues to change our daily lives. Both boys delivered excellent speeches and clearly had an excellent knowledge of their subjects. Nooruz was selected to go through to the final which was held in the wonderful setting of Lloyds of London. Nooruz again thoroughly engaged his audience with a well-researched and expertly delivered speech. Although he didn’t win, Nooruz can be very proud of his effort and both boys will certainly remember this experience and use it to help them when it comes to public speaking in his future career path. Well done!
