Sixth Form Community Volunteering Day

Sixth Form Community Volunteering Day

For the October Drop Day, our Sixth Form students volunteered for the organisation “Leaders in Community” (LiC), a youth led charity run by a group of active local young people from Tower Hamlets. Our group of Year 12's contributed to the upkeep of their communal garden by painting sections of their mural, gardening, building fences, re-potting plants, composting and trimming overgrown areas.

The day enabled students to support their local community and actively participate in the development of the local area. The enthusiasm and effort shown by all of our students was highly appreciated. The students produced some amazing end results.

Momtaz Ajid, LiC's Project Manager commented 'It was our pleasure to have you guys here, the participants of the garden are delighted with the art work and efforts made by all the students.
