Sixth Form Events - March 2019
15th March 2019 – Visit to Investment Bank BlackRock
Sixth form students participating in the weekly economic sessions led by the charity Economy went on a visit to investment bank BlackRock. Students toured the facilities, participated in workshops and spoke with staff from the organisation.
20th March 2019 – Insight into medicine by students from Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University
Year 12 students were given an insight session into medicine by students from Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University. The session included a CPR and suturing workshop with real models and equipment; and talks about university and life as a medical student.
20th March 2019 – Greenwich University Visit
Greenwich University visited Bow School on 20th March 2019 to give Year 13 students a presentation about student finance and answer all their questions about budgeting and finance at university.
27th March 2019 – Oxford and Cambridge Student Conference
Some Year 12 students attended the Oxford and Cambridge Student Conference to learn more about Oxbridge, student life and the application process.
28th March 2019 – Mulberry School Annual Student Conference
On 28th March 2019 students attended Mulberry School for their Annual Student Conference. This year the theme was ‘Unite Against Hate’.
Students attended a range of workshops and talks by students and guest speakers including from notable organisations like Diversity Role Models, the Faith and Belief Forum, the Holocaust Education Trust, Show Racism the Red Card, Step Forward, Tailor SRE and the WOW Foundation.
