Sixth Form Migration Museum Trip
On Wednesday 6th December, a group of Sixth Form students visited the Migration Museum where we saw a fantastic exhibition entitled ‘No Turning Back: Seven Migration Moments that Changed Britain.’ This free exhibition seeks to explore seven migration moments throughout history that changed Britain through art, photography, graphics, quotes and stories. The exhibition is a great insight into the history of migration to this country and it encourages visitors to contribute by offering their feedback and giving them the opportunity to share their own experiences.
The rest of the museum gave the students lots to think about and sparked some interesting discussions between students and staff.
The students all said that they would like to visit the museum again, and felt that the visit had given them lots to think about and discuss - linking to the subjects they study at AS and A level, particularly History and Government and Politics.
