Spotlight Health & Nutrition Course Celebration

Spotlight Health & Nutrition Course Celebration

In March 2019, 25 Bow students completed a City & Guild’s Health & Nutrition Level 1 course. Spotlight, a creative youth service designed to inspire, provided sessions for our students on a weekly basis.

The Government is committed to reducing death and ill health caused by diet-related disease. More than ever, caterers and those preparing and serving food for others need to understand the link between diet and health. Based on the syllabus of the Level 2 Award in Healthier Food and Special Diets, the course covered the basic principles of nutrition, which underpin the production of healthy food, the preparation of special diets and the effect that nutrition has on our health.

On Wednesday 3rd April, students were treated to a pizza to celebrate their hard work.

Congratulations to everyone who completed their City & Guilds Health & Nutrition course!
