Super Curricular Learning
The world we live in is forever changing. At every turn, there are technological advancements that we once thought were science fiction. We may have watched TV shows with robots, enjoyed watching flying cars in the Back to the Future movie and heard talk that one day there would be space tourism where you would pay to see the Earth from space. So many of these things were dreams that fascinated us. Now many of these things are a reality that we can see with our own eyes.
At Bow, we believe that it is a child’s love of learning that will set them apart. If they are curious about the world and love to learn about it, it gives them a good grounding for the world ahead. It makes them world and career ready!
This is why we have introduced the Super Curriculum to our Year 7s and as the year continues, we will also introduce this to other year groups across the school.
Our Super Curriculum is a range of activities which enable our students to deepen their love, knowledge and understanding of the subjects and topics which interests them most. As students develop their love of learning, they become increasingly prepared to learn and grow in an ever changing world.
These activities come in many different forms such as: reading, listening to podcasts, watching videos and documentaries, researching, visiting museums and entering competitions.
Once students have completed these activities, they log the activity onto a Google Form, attaching or sharing evidence of what they have done.
Completing these activities will help them to earn achievement points, badges, certificates, vouchers but even more importantly, a sense of wonder and excitement about our world.

Watch out for more information on this. Talk to your children about these activities. Encourage them to complete them so they can broaden their understanding of the world and the subjects that they love.
