The IET Faraday Challenge

The IET Faraday Challenge

The Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) Faraday Challenge

On Monday 6th February, Bow School hosted the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) Faraday Challenge where Year 8 students from Bow School, St. Paul’s Way Trust and Oasis Academy had the opportunity to research, design and make prototype solutions to genuinely tough engineering problems. This is one of many STEM initiatives here at Bow. All pupils thoroughly enjoyed the day and truly rose to the challenge.

A fantastic effort from both of our teams and two very impressive presentations - which impressed the Faraday Challenge judge.

Overall, one of our teams won the competition and Bow school were awarded the IET Faraday Challenge trophy. The winning members of Bow IET Faraday team (left to right) were: Ibrahim Alam 8H, Ben Cassidy 8T, Fatimah Ali 8O, Salma Ali 8O, Ruksar Aziz 8O and Iffat Siddick 8O.

Congratulations to them all!
