WE Day Trip
On Wednesday 6th March, School Council Year Representatives and “I am WE Committee” members visited SSE Wembley Arena to attend ‘We Day’. They were joined by thousands of their fellow young change-makers from across the country. Other than to show appreciation, the aim of the event was to educate and empower aspiring young people by providing them with the tools they need to create transformative social change.
A list of celebrities including The Duke and Duchess of Sussex (Prince Harry and Meghan Markle), Liam Payne, Nicole Scherzinger and Naomi Campbell, plus inspiring speakers and world leaders, mixed with real people to celebrate a year of action that transformed communities and changed lives.
The day kicked off with a walk down WE’s blue carpet for the greatly renowned artists, entrepreneurs and thought leaders who gathered together to help celebrate this unique experience. The crowd were treated to performances from the likes of Jack & Jack, Pixie Lott and Brit Award winning singer & songwriter Tom Walker.
Overall, it was a great day filled with lots of excitement, stimulation and optimism. Hopefully this event also managed to further encourage our students to aim high and to persevere in the face of adversity.
