WE Won’t Rest Celebration Event
On Wednesday 20th June, the WE charity hosted their first ever WE Day - ‘WE Won’t Rest Celebration’ event at Morpeth School. This grand occasion was set up to bring together and celebrate schools who have done tremendous work in shining a much needed light on the current homelessness crisis facing many parts of the UK.
The afternoon consisted of workshops and activities to develop action planning, leadership and reflection skills. Students from Bow School and Yeading Primary School were asked to carry out a 2-minute presentation on their WE Won’t Rest project.
The event recognised the fantastic work our students have done so far, enabled them to reflect on their achievements and think ahead regarding their next steps.
The workshops were an incredible way to educate our young people about the taboos and stereotypes surrounding homelessness and to inspire them to take world-changing action!
