Year 10 BTEC PE Visit Brighton University

Year 10 BTEC PE Visit Brighton University

On the 30th April the new Year 10 BTEC PE group visited Brighton University to see what life could be like after Bow School. During the day they performed numerous fitness tests which tested their components of fitness. They used the latest equipment which the likes of Chris Hoy and Mo Farah used before competing in the Olympic Games. They then enjoyed a Q&A session with Brighton University students on what it’s like to be a student at the university. I won’t mention any names but a question asked was “who tells you when it’s time to go to bed?!”

During the afternoon they were tested on how well they can work as a team and solving problems. Rene Haynes and Daniel Nzurubu excelled in this task and led their groups by example.

On the whole all the boys enjoyed the visit and hopefully gave them a good insight on what life at university looks like.
